What is it?

Khamsin, a SketchUp Plugin for CFD Modelling, is a new paradigm in the Computational Fluid Dynamic world. It brings together a number of CFD tools and solvers straight within the powerful SketchUp 3D environment. Khamsin allows for the definition of all parameters of the CFD simulation directly within SketchUp.

Features:
  • Integrated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling environment within SketchUp;
  • Support Gmsh, Dolfyn and OpenFOAM mesh generator and solvers;
  • Thermal analysis (OpenFOAM) - just solving temperature not flow;
  • Isothermal and non-isothermal flow (OpenFOAM);
  • Turbulent isothermal and non-isothermal flow (OpenFOAM, Dolfyn);
  • OpenFOAM: The following features are supported for OpenFOAM solvers, but the default (free) OpenFOAM distribution installed with Khamsin does not support them. If you require these features, consider purchasing blueCFD (full version) (follow link or contact blueCAPE) for an approximative cost of 50 Euros:
